DOSA is an Oklahoma nonprofit that supports fathers of children with special needs. This policy explains what information we collect through dosausa.org, texts.dosausa.org, our forms, our events, email, text messages, and phone calls, and how we use it.

Information we collect

  • Information you give us: your name, email address, mobile phone number, mailing address, how you heard about DOSA, and anything you choose to share in a form, chat, email, text, or call.
  • Giving and event information: records of gifts and event registrations. Payments are processed by our giving and event partners (such as Subsplash and eJoinMe). We do not store card or bank numbers.
  • Basic website data: like most websites, our site host may collect standard technical data such as browser type and pages visited.

We do not ask for, and ask you not to send us, medical or diagnostic details about your child through our forms or text messages.

How we use it

  • To connect fathers with DOSA Connect, local groups, retreats, and events
  • To send meeting reminders, event updates, newsletters, and giving information
  • To thank donors and provide giving records
  • To answer questions and return calls

Text messages (SMS)

If you opt in to text messages from DOSA, we use your mobile number to send the messages you signed up for. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to opt out, or HELP for help.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing to subcontractors in support services, such as customer service, is permitted. All other categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

How we share information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run DOSA (for example our database, email, texting, giving, and event platforms), and only so they can provide those services to us, or when required by law.

Email

Every email we send includes a link to unsubscribe.

How long we keep it

We keep your information while you are involved with DOSA and as long as needed for our records, then delete it or stop using it. You can ask us to delete it at any time.

Your choices

You can unsubscribe from email with the link in any message, stop texts by replying STOP, or contact us to see, correct, or delete your information.

Children

Our website and communications are for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
